If you live within 30 miles of Northern RI have a fenced in yard, and a family member who is home most of the day, we would love to hear from you! Please read about our guardian home program prior to inquiring to be sure you are eligible! Only eligible families that apply will be contacted. Why Become a Guardian Family?
Our breeding program is designed around our precious breeding dogs living pampered pet lives with their wonderful local guardian family. Placing our breeding dogs in Guardian Homes allows for us to continue to grow our breeding program, and more importantly ensures that each and every dog in our program is first and foremost a forever family pet! Since 2007, we have had over 80 families participate in our Guardian Home Program. This program is a win win win win for all involved….the Guardian Family, OSL, and the dog! We do not have kennels, and our dogs will always be house pets and the center of attention in their loving families lives!

The guardian home program is is a wonderful opportunity for local families to have the very best puppy (which was selected as the pick of the litter) that OSL has to offer for just a fraction of the cost of purchasing a pet puppy!
If you are interested in adding one of our Guardian pups to your family by participating in our Guardian Home Program, please take the time to fill out an adoption application and make sure to write “Guardian Home Inquiry” in the subject line. PLEASE NOTE: If you have inquired about our Guardian Home Program and have not yet taken the time to submit an application, we are more than happy to respond to your inquiry once we have received your application provided that you meet the criteria to become a guardian family for one of our dogs.
Unfortunately we are not flexible with the criteria required to become a guardian family. In an effort to allow us to focus the majority of our time on our puppies, we ask that you please refrain from inquiring if your family does not meet the full requirements to participate program.
